1. About this notice

This notice explains how LYRA by Dori Milej-Smith handles personal information when you browse this website, contact us or subscribe to the LYRA Journal. The legal identity and address of the business responsible for your information, its privacy contact and applicable jurisdiction are awaiting confirmation.

2. Information we collect

Newsletter subscriptions: your email address, signup time, the consent wording and the signup source. Email addresses are trimmed and converted to lowercase to prevent duplicate subscriptions. Enquiries: information you choose to include in an email, such as your name, contact details and business requirements. Please do not send sensitive personal information or confidential client records through an initial enquiry.

3. Technical information and security

The website and its service providers may process IP addresses, request details and diagnostic logs to deliver and protect the service. The subscription endpoint uses a hashed IP-derived identifier to limit repeated requests. Rate-limit entries expire after one hour and expired entries are removed when a later request runs; infrastructure logs may be retained separately by providers.

4. Why we use your information

We use newsletter details to maintain the journal mailing list and provide updates you have requested, based on your consent. We use enquiry information to respond to you and, where relevant, take steps at your request before an advisory engagement. We process necessary technical information for our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure website, subject to applicable law and your rights. Subscribing is optional and is not required to browse or enquire.

5. Newsletter choice and withdrawal

The current signup flow stores your subscription; automated email delivery is not yet connected. You can withdraw consent or request removal from the list at any time by contacting LYRA through the Contact page and identifying the email address you subscribed with. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. An unsubscribe mechanism must be included when newsletter delivery is introduced.

6. Service providers and third parties

Supabase stores subscription records and operates the signup endpoint. Hosting and email providers may process technical information and enquiries to support the website and communications. Google Fonts receives requests from your browser to display our typefaces. Journal articles may contain embedded YouTube or Vimeo content, which can send requests to those providers when loaded. Following an external link, including LinkedIn, takes you to a service with its own privacy terms. Information may also be disclosed where legally required.

7. Cookies and browser storage

The current public website does not include a dedicated advertising or analytics tracker. Necessary platform features and third-party content may use cookies or similar browser storage. Your browser can restrict cookies and storage, although doing so may affect functionality. We will update this notice and provide any required choices before introducing optional tracking. Embedded media providers apply their own storage practices.

8. Retention

Subscription records are kept while needed to maintain your requested subscription, unless you withdraw consent or request deletion. Enquiry records are kept only as needed to respond, manage the relationship and meet applicable legal obligations. Where a legal requirement or dispute requires retention, only relevant records should be retained. Backup and provider-log retention depend on provider settings; the final retention schedule is awaiting confirmation.

9. International processing

Technology providers may process information outside your country. The actual hosting locations, relevant transfer arrangements and safeguards must be confirmed before this notice is finalised. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those safeguards must be in place.

10. Your rights and questions

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access or correct information, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, obtain a portable copy and withdraw consent. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority. Contact LYRA through the Contact page for requests or questions; a confirmed privacy contact and jurisdiction-specific authority will be added when the business details are verified.

11. Updates

We will revise this notice when the website or our handling of information changes. Material changes to newsletter purposes may require a fresh choice from you. The date on this page identifies the latest revision.
